Job Description

The North Rose-Wolcott Central School District is seeking candidates for the following anticipated long-term substitute teaching position:  

LTS Occupational Therapist

 

Job Qualifications

Job Duties:

  • Evaluate the degree of function and disability of students.
  • Develop a written prescription to be incorporated into the Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) for each student to receive therapy services.
  • Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with the written prescription in the IEP.
  • Provides students with appropriate sensory motor programs that will be conducted in individual, group sessions, classroom based strategies.
  • Develop and apply adaptive assistance devices and/or self-help techniques to achieve maximum independence.
  • Attends various discipline related meetings and in-services (e.g. team meetings, department meetings, program meetings, staffing, staff development days.)
  • Participate in parent and teacher conferences.
  • Works closely with parents to provide appropriate home programs.
  • Prepare and maintain appropriate records.
  • Establish and maintain communications with physicians and community agencies working with the students
  • Provide supervision to full time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Perform such other professionally related duties as may be required by the Administration.

 

Qualifications:  NYS Occupational Therapy License
